Bet you wish you were me...

That’s not something I normally say, for a variety of reasons, and I only say it now because, well, I looked at the above trailer for the about-to-start New York Asian Film Festival and thought, “Damn that looks like fun; how do I get in on that?” And then I remembered that I’m on this year’s jury. Hah!

Juries being what they are, I can say no more…yet. But I’m really honored and stoked to be doing this, and this year’s lineup looks…really pretty neat. You can find out more about the fest here

  • I love Asian Cinema and that, indeed, looks freakin’ awesome 🙂

I’ve seen “House” and that is one weird trippy movie. It’s got teenage Japanese boobies, Horror gore, trippy music and hijinks straight out of the Sid and Marty Krofft’s canon. Just so strange.
Man, that festival looks like a blast!

  • I saw “The Warlords” which I wrote about, and “20th Century Boys” which now has me hoping I see the second part. While you’re there ask them how come there are no Thai movies.

I can’t WAIT for “The Forbidden Door”, “Written By”, “Plastic City”, and of course, “House”.
Hope to see you lurking ’round the IFC.
