    Glenn, if you ever trek down to Austin (for SxSW or any oth­er reas­on for that mat­ter) you have to rent a car and take the 40 minute drive to Lockhart. Smitty’s is worth a vaca­tion of its own.
    I admit that since los­ing my job I have con­tem­plated a road trip for the sole pur­pose of vis­it­ing Prince’s Hot Chicken Shack in Memphis and Arthur Bryant in KC.

    Man, I’ve always wanted to try Bryant’s (no rela­tion). I should’ve made the trip when I lived in Kentucky. Would’ve been a short­er haul. Here in the LA area, I’ve enjoyed Dr. Hogly Wogly’s Tyler Texas BBQ. There does­n’t seem to be any mut­ton out here though.
