Nice review – something to keep an eye out for. And the continued Pynchon riffing, following on from the eyeliner post, is wonderful.
Have you ever seen (stupid question, as you probably have…but I’ll continue) Out of The Fog, a 3/4ths nasty 1941 effort with Garfield and Ida Lupino? For the aforementioned first three quarters, Garfield plays a heartless slimeball immaculately, before tedious but perhaps necessary moralism arrives. But it’s still a keeper.
i have seen several of Garfield’s movies. he is easily the most underrated actor in american cinema history. he was fantastic.
