Vintage analog audio equipment and smoking Katia Christine are two of the more salient attractions of The Designated Killer, a shameless 1971 Italian appropriation of Hitchcock (and Highsmith’s) Strangers on a Train. I won’t spoil another of its salient attractions in this space, as I’d very much like you to go over to The Daily Notebook, where this little item, a very well-made presentation for what it’s worth, is the week’s Foreign Region DVD.

Would’ve been cool if Anthology Film Archives had included this in their recent Clementi retrospective.
Is that a T. Verlaine reference, or something from the movie?
The former. Nicely catch. Thanks for playing!
Nice picture…she’s really pretty…so admirable!
