To show off my journalistic versatility, and because I was asked, I interviewed Elvis Costello about his new album National Ransom for MSN Entertainment News. The piece, which I think turned out pretty well, is here.

I’m so glad you did that interview, Glenn. And yes, it turned out quite well. Thanks!
Great stuff. Big Elvis fan. I’ve got some birthday money burning a hole in my pocket, so I’ll likely be owning National Ransom soon.
Ditto to Jim Emerson. Looking forward to picking this one up. Only ‘Momofuku’ has eluded me these last few albums of his. I did think ‘Delivery Man’ was on of the best albums of the decade.
Damn, I didn’t know Elvis was in Americathon. One of those films that has been eluding me for years.
Larry: The “Americathon” soundtrack was where “I Don’t Want to Go to Chelsea” made its US vinyl debut. Not that I’m recommending the movie.
I’ve just read that Monica Johnson, a co-writer on “Americathon” and writing partner with Albert Brooks in his films, has passed.
