That’s as in “Just Keep Lawyerin’,” ar ar ar. Two rather differently toned films featuring attorneys as their protagonists open this week: The Lincoln Lawyer, with Matthew McConaughey havin’ a good olé time playing a charmin’ hustler, is reviewed by me here; while Win/Win features Paul Giamatti coping with a weak small town practice, and other indie-tested dilemmas, and is further described by me here.

it was hard to tell from the trailer whether win-win was going to work or be a cliché-saddled fumble or not. glad to hear such a positive take on it
PUNS!
Although I liked WIN-WIN a lot (no surprise, since I loved THE STATION AGENT and THE VISITOR; this one isn’t quite in the class of either of them, but it’s very well done), the shocker was how much I enjoyed THE LINCOLN LAWYER. Yes, it does soup things up a little too often, and yes, it’s predictable even if you haven’t read Michael Connelly’s novel, but I found it to be a loose and enjoyable genre film, and it was nice to see Matthew McConaughey give a good performance again.
