Gina Marès in Coeur fidèle, Jean Epstein, 1923.
Screen captures from the frankly amazing Eureka!/Masters of Cinema Blu-ray/DVD combination package, which is a must that I’ll be writing on further some time soon.

Epstein is a great filmmkaer and an important film theorist.
I was wondering about that one. I’m also curious about Feyder’s “Le Grand jeu”–have either of you gents seen it?
I have, Tom. It’s very much worthwhile, if not as crazy-off-the-charts beautiful and transportive as this film. I wrote at length on it here:

That was helpful, Glenn. Thanks.
I’ve been conditioned to assume someone hacked into Marès’ iPhone to get that top pic.
At first I afraid to see this face. How you collect this photo. Can yo share more please?
This is my favorite blu-ray release ever. Can’t wait for the full review.
