Dirty Work

Around the time I was put­ting up the first part of My Life In Pornography at Thought Catalog, I heard about the work of pho­to­graph­er Barbara Nitke, who was shoot­ing stills on New-York-based adult film sets just a few years after I was pro­duc­tion assist­ant on A Girl’s Best Friend. Obviously I needed to look into this. I did, and I got Barbara’s book, American Ecstasy, and I inter­viewed Barbara for Nerve. The not-safe-for-work art­icle it here.
