Alone SCR

A motion picture that you ought to see by any means necessary, as they say, is the subject of this week’s Foreign Region DVD Report. Kon Ichikawa’s Alone Across The Pacific is, no qualifications necessary, a really spectacular and essential piece of filmmaking. I make my case, whatever it’s worth, at The Auteurs’.

Glad to hear about this! I love Ichikawa, and while the couple of Criterion discs are really good, there are many other films by him that I’d love to see on DVD. I will be buying this one for sure.
