John Ford’s goddaughter.
I just saw her last week in a new episode of “Poirot”. A fine actress and a real presence doing excellent work until the end.
I remember how appreciated her natural charm and beauty was even in a small part in Preminger’s BUNNY LAKE IS MISSING. Very easy to fall in love with, Anna.
Massey was also the reader for a top-notch audiobook of du Maurier’s Rebecca. Listening to it right now, and she’s superb.
Owner of an exquisitely mellow voice, a mainstay, not to say, quintessence of BBC Radio 4 drama – thank you, Glenn, for noting Ms Massey’s career.
