    It’s funny. Quentin’s S&S top 10 list was all English lan­guage films, but dude is obvi­ously well steeped in sub­titled flicks. It does­n’t both­er me, but it’s an inter­est­ing dir­ect­ori­al choice.

    It would be inter­est­ing to know if Bava was seen and appre­ci­ated in Japan, or if his work cor­res­ponds to an inde­pend­ent Japanese tra­di­tion. There are cer­tainly numer­ous points of comparison.
