The heavy­weight cham­pi­on­ship of world movies gets under­way this week as the Oscar con­tenders come out swinging. Daniel Day Lewis plays Lincoln for Steven Spielberg and Silver Linings Playbook has a con­tender in all four act­ing nom­in­a­tions.
