    Glenn, the Alan Jay Lerner LOLITA music­al you dis­cuss in your PARIS review did indeed sorta hap­pen, though it was­n’t in col­lab­or­a­tion with Loewe. While LOLITA, MY LOVE, with book and lyr­ics by Lerner and music by John Barry, closed dur­ing its pre-Broadway tour in 1971, it is now held in at least a little regard – a few of the show’s songs were even recor­ded after the music­al folded.
