Epstein is a great filmmkaer and an important film theorist.
I was wondering about that one. I’m also curious about Feyder’s “Le Grand jeu”–have either of you gents seen it?
I have, Tom. It’s very much worthwhile, if not as crazy-off-the-charts beautiful and transportive as this film. I wrote at length on it here:
