For my friends in the tri-state area: My pal Mariah Balaban has honored me by requesting that I curate and introduce a selection for her new and delightful FIlm Club. I have chosen Frank Tashlin's 1955 Artists and Models, starring that dashingly handsome fellow above right, and some crooner from Ohio. The event is tomorrow, Sunday December 12, in the chill of the early evening. Details here. Stop by if you can; the company's always good and the film itself is a pip.

No relation to the Jack Benny/Raoul Walsh picture, I take it?
You’ve chosen a fantastic film.
Wonderful film – I ran it in 35mm a couple of years ago and it’s a hoot on the big screen with a good audience.
I wish I could be there — it’s a great film (with Shirley MacLaine in a bat suit!) and I’ve love to hear what you had to say.
