Service Advisory, fraud edition

It has been brought to my attention, via circumstances too unpleasant to get into, that an individual pretending to be me recently left an incredibly abusive comment at the Premiere.com website, spewing verbal bile at its editor, Gene Newman, and other such nasty stuff. I've had public sparring-type exchanges with Newman in the far past, but I have also gone on record as saying he's a good guy, and that I bear him no ill will. And the fact is, I can't remember the last time I even looked at the Premiere website before this supposed comment from me was brought to my attention. I understand that, given my volubility and tendency toward the opinionated, I'm easy to "parody" in this way, but honestly, the deleted comment doesn't read like anything I'd put my name to, drunk or sober…which is only apt, because I didn't write it. The jerkoff who impersonated me on Twitter is one thing (I don't know if that person's still at it, as I ran screaming from Twitter almost as soon as I signed on to it), but this is wholly another. Like Iago said, he who steals from my purse steals trash…but he who filches from me my good name (such as it is, I hasten to add) robs me of that which not enriches him, and makes me poor indeed. I'm enraged, and am seeking a way to do something about it. If anyone has a clue who's behind this, I'd be grateful to be contacted, although not in comments; get to me via the email address on my "About" page. Thanks.
