Another week, another Foreign Region Blu-Ray Disc Report. NO, the strain's not getting to me, and why would you even ask that, anyway? Geez, get off my back, why doncha. At The Daily Notebook. Where the hell else?

I don’t claim to have seen every Hammer film, but this is my favorite alongside Seth Holt’s THE NANNY. As I think I mentioned at Dave Kehr’s place once, Janette Scott’s daughter by Mel Torme is a friend of mine (though I haven’t seen her in ages, and am not likely to now that I’m out of California), so I get an extra kick watching this and noting similarities and differences between mother and daughter. But yeah, it looks great, Reed is awesome and the plot gobsmacks you about once every five minutes. I need an HD TV right NOW!
I remember finding this one sort of subpar amid the Hammer PSYCHO rip-offs. HYSTERIA, starring the American Robert Webber, is probably my favorite, although I haven’t seen it in a while.
More importantly, does this mean the missing part has arrived?
@ Stephen: Afraid not. Ad hoc measures have had to be taken. I can say no more.
Oliver Reed is practically spasming by the end of this movie.
Glenn, whatever that part is, can you post the name of it? Because I want to go ahead and order one now, just in case. I’ll keep it in the cupboard with my incandescent light bulb stash.
