I read and thoroughly enjoyed GONE GIRL. I also LOVE the casting of the film. That being said, I’m pretty iffy on Fincher as the director. I don’t feel like the subject fits what he does best (icy procedural, for one) because the book has all sorts of twists and turns and is very much a noir. It’s also pretty fun, wickedly so. All not Fincher’s area in my opinion. We shall see. Clever cover there though!
